Year-end Giving at Calvary Church

Calvary depends on faithful and generous church members to support our operational budget (ministry plan) each year. For 2014, we are close to reaching our $5.884 million revenue target needed to fully fund our ministry plan. Even though our year-to-date ministry plan revenue has increased approximately 4% over last year, we are not quite where we need to be, yet. For those who have not invested in Calvary’s ministries, now is the time! Others, who have invested, we need your continued support. Currently, we are almost $270,000 short of our annual revenue target. You can help by considering a significant year-end gift to Calvary. There is no better investment in the world, than to invest in your local church. I guarantee, actually God guarantee’s, you will receive “immeasurable blessings" (Malachi 3:10).

As our friend, Bill Price suggests in this video, consider one of the following ways to give a year-end gift:
  1. Your Income
  2. An Appreciated Asset
  3. Your stuff
  4. A Sacrificial Gift

It’s a “Vision for Life"

God’s vison for Calvary is a big vision! It’s an exciting vision. It is a vision for life that all Calvary members should be thankful to be part of.
As a church that saw 882 new members and 363 baptisms in 2014, more than ever in our 148 year history, let’s not get complacent, let’s continue to “bring people to DYNAMIC life in Christ", let’s keep on sowing seeds of discipleship and investments in God’s Kingdom.
Thank you to the over 1200 families who made a VFL:Open Doors commitment these last 2-years! Your faithful VFL: Open Doors giving has allowed us to:
  • Open our first multi-site campus, Calvary Church East Lake at 1190 East Lake Road, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689

  • Purchase, partially renovate, and completely pay for our Student Ministry Center, which includes 4-acres of property at 150 S McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater, FL 33759
  • Fully-fund and built a church in El Carizal, Dominican Republic

  • Began construction on our new Christian Education Center for both Calvary Christian High School and Calvary Church.

  • Add almost 200 new parking spaces to our parking lot. This parking lot was strategically built to allow a new roadway for ingress and egress to our Student Ministry Center.

It is truly amazing what happens when a church loves as Jesus loves, serves as Jesus serves, goes as Jesus commands us to go, and stays connected to God’s vision!
As Jesus said, we are the “branch" connected to Him, who is the "true vine". We must abide in Him, and he will abide in us!
Jesus spoke the the following words to his Disciples just after washing their feet (don’t let the significance of that pass you by):
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."

On behalf of Pastor Willy, and the entire Calvary staff, please accept our sincere love and deepest gratitude for your connection to Calvary! Together, we will continue to bear much fruit!
